My band and I would like to play at Songbyrd, how do we do that?
Songbyrd would love to hear your band. We currently do not accept physical press kits, but we welcome your pitches with relevant links, files and references. Songbyrd typically books 3 or so months in advance. We do listen to every submission so please allow us time to review and go over it, DO NOT CALL THE VENUE REGARDING BOOKING, you will get our cafe staff who will not be able to help. Does Songbyrd Music House have seats?
The first floor bar and cafe have permanent seating, the downstairs music venue has some permanent benches, and when it is a more chill night, tables and chairs are out for your enjoyment. Do expect that on a night with some fun music there will be limited seating, as we hope that you will want to rock out to the music rather than sit. Whatever seating is available will always be available on a first come first serve basis.
How can I purchase tickets for a Songbyrd event?
Advance tickets can be purchased through our website and ticketfly.com. Tickets can also be purchased in the cafe in advance so long as the show is not on low ticket sales, tickets are typically available 30 days in advance, but please call to confirm that the show you would like is available. If the show is sold out, we may have tickets available at the door after the show starts, but there is no guarantee.
What type of payment options are there in the venue?
If you are buying online you can use any form of payment Ticketfly accepts. Day of ticket purchases can be made at the ticket booth and are cash only, but you can get tickets via credit card 30min before the show in most cases, unless the show is sold out.
What is your refund policy? All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges unless a show is cancelled.
I've bought tickets to a show, but want to give them to someone?
If you want to change the name on your tickets or on will call you will need to contact Ticketfly @ 877-435-9849 to transfer tickets. We do require you to show I.d. to pick up will call tickets, so please transfer the tickets through ticketfly. Please note we do not changes names of tickets ourselves.
Do you have an elevator to get down to the venue?
Unfortunately, we do not have a elevator to the venue, if you need assistance getting down to the venue please email us at least a week ahead
of time at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can help make arrangements for you. Please not that we do not have seating at the front of the stage either
as almost all shows are standing room only.
Does the venue offer food? Songbyrd has many options for food. We have the cafe and the bistro available for good eats on the first floor. You want a kick-ass sandwich or a mumbo slice, grab something at the cafe. If you want a entree style meal or some snacks you can have a nosh at the bistro or bar. We will also offer a limited food menu in the venue before and after the shows, if the show is seated with tables.
Do I need a ID to enter the venue?
Yes, you will need to provide a valid ID, no matter how old you are. If you do not have an ID you will not gain admittance. A valid form of ID means that it is government met issues, non-expired and valid, foreign driver's licence will not be accepted. There will be shows that are 21+, 18+, and all-ages, and if you do not have a valid ID during those shows you will be treated as underage and will not be allowed to consume or hold a drink. These policies are strictly enforced and any violation will result in immediate ejection from the building with no refund.
What about drinks?
Songbyrd has many options for drinks, before shows you can go to our coffee shop and get caffeinated, or we have three bars that are happily willing to quench your thirst.
