Born in DC and raised in VA, Kobbie learned his love for music and performing at a young age. A mixture of influences from his Ghanaian heritage, church upbringing and his love of soul, R&B and Hip-hop music helped create a unique style unlike any of his contemporaries in the DMV. His blend of melodic-witty lyrics and lush full vocal arrangements take listeners on a different journey with each listen.

Lucy J

Lucy J was born and raised in the DMV area. Being of Native American, Asian, and Latin descent, Lucy was exposed to multiple different cultures while also being heavily influenced by the American Hip-Hop and R&B artist of her childhood. Involved with music since the age of 9, Lucy began writing poetry, to songwriting, rapping, singing, and performing all by the age of 14. She is most known for her lyricism and her harmonic flows.

Waasi (@itswaasi) is a Hip-Hop artist from Charlottesville, VA whose unique brand of rap music features melodic-vibes combined with in-your-face bluntness, has become a staple in the DMV do-it-yourself sphere. Seemingly always performing and growing, Waasi is only in his early 20’s, which can come as a surprise when attending one of his shows, given the professionalism rooted in his stage presence. Already having released two albums, 2018’s “BETTERDAZE” and ’19’s “From Virginia With Love”, Waasi has proven that he knows how to create conceptually-based music while still being able to experiment with different styles, as his songs dive into realms including: bouncy electro, chopped-up soul, atmospheric, and trap; yet still function cohesively.

Ticketbuyers will be emailed a link to the stream the day of the show. If weather permits we may project the show on a small screen outfront of Songbryd and serve food & drink.
