Wooter is the brainchild of music producer Rowan Brind. In a constant state of evolution, the now 4-piece has transformed from hard psychedelic rock to mellow, soothing slow burners. Based in NYC, Rowan has been developing his craft for 7 years. In 2017, he released a song every week (53 songs), culminating into 6 albums of music. His most recent project “Fishbowl” was mastered by Timothy Stollenwerk (Mild High Club, Kevin Morby, Cake) and will be released July 31.
Makeup Girl was founded over 10 years ago when single father and musician Bryce Watson adopted three orphans from a DC orphanage. Over the last few years he has worked tirelessly; teaching them the secrets to unlocking the groove. With Johnny Leander on guitar, Caleb Schiebel on drums, Brody Steck on vocals and guitar, and Bryce on bass, the band is now at full power. Their energizing live show is sure to wow any crowd and is truly a music lovers dream come true. Look out for future releases this spring and summer and check out their last EP, “In Time” out now on all streaming platforms.
Friends of Friends is a DC indie band that combines earnest songwriting with unique production, all while running the gamut of the rock genre. With one EP under their belt, and a second coming in early June, Friends of Friends aims to carve out their own unique space in the DC music scene. The upcoming EP sees FOF turning the dial up from their previous release, trading folksy mid-tempo rock for driving guitars, cutting synths, catchy hooks, and tight rhythms, while still maintaining their penchant for sincerity and songcraft. In a live setting, the band’s dynamic show provides something for everyone. Even familiar listeners will enjoy songs they already know as arrangements constantly morph and songs rewrite themselves.
