FUNSHO (Foon-sho) Adenugba is a dynamic singer-songwriter, musician and recording artist who wins over every live audience he encounters. Rolling Stone Magazine calls his voice “Silky Smooth,” Washington Post praises his musical approach, Baltimore Magazine says, “He creates instant feel-good vibes,” and The Baltimore Sun readers have voted him “Best Musician” of 2019. He is originally from Lagos, Nigeria, raised in Lanham, Maryland, and a graduate of The University of Maryland - College Park. He sings in both English and Yoruba languages and plays guitar.

FUNSHO first garnered national attention in 2018 on NBC’s The Voice TV show, receiving a 3 chair turn from star coaches: Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson. His TV cover of “Finesse” by Bruno Marshas 2.5 million Youtube views, and his cover of “Earned It” by The Weeknd has 1 million views. Levine said: “You literally have it all, and it’s amazing to hear a vocalist that’s so complete.” He chose Levine as his coach and, later, was stolen by Blake Shelton here. FUNSHO has shared the stage with Sean Paul, Nelly, Big Sean and Logic. He entertains solo or with his full band at special events, live music concerts and festivals. Performance venues include Baltimore City Hall, Baltimore Soundstage, Deep Dive at City Garage-Port Covington, DC9 (DC), Eko Convention Centre (Nigeria), Fillmore Silver Spring, Frozen Harbor Festival, Harbor Fashioneasta in Harbor East, Howard Theatre, Great Grapes Festival, Motor House, National Harbor Festival, NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo (DC), Oregon Ridge Park, Preakness kick-off at the Harbor, Sandlot, Songbyrd (DC), The Viper Room (LA), Wande Coal Concert (Nigeria), and more.

FUNSHO’s original music is fun, soulful, uplifting, and rooted in Pop Soul/R&B with Afrobeat accents and Hip-Hop flavor. He is releasing his third EP (Extended Play) record: NUMB3RZ in Spring of 2019. Recent highlights include “Dis Ting,” “Own Way,” and “Legends 4 Life”, the last of which was featured on Washington DC’s 93.9 and 95.5 radio stations and BET Jams. His past EP’s include S.H.E (Sounds Have Emotions, 2015) and Love Acoustically, 2011. His versatile cover sets span genres and decades from Classics to Motown to Top40/Dance hits. Highlights include “This Christmas,” “If by Davido,” and “She Will be Loved by Maroon 5.”


Magna Carda is an American hip hop outfit based in Austin, Texas. The mc-producer duo is notable for their eclectic musical style – a genre-defying blend of rap-meets-jazz-meets-R&B-meets- electronic – and for performing with elaborate live arrangements and instrumentation. Magna Carda draws inspiration from jazz, art, history and literature.
