If you were to ask any DMV-local about a P.G. County, MD-native named CRAMER, they would likely describe her effortless vocal technique; witty personality; and bright, white, electric guitar. But if you happen to catch this “onion of an artist” in her zone, you’ll surely notice much more. A DMV youth arts advocate and instrumentalist by day, and unapologetic thespian/music producer/performer by night, CRAMER’s music seeks to engage with the art that preoccupies her mind (and schedule), day and night. Soon after directing the University of Pittsburgh Gospel Choir for 3 years (2012-2014) and pursuing her own music full-time, CRAMER won Hyundai & The Recording Academy’s Grammy Amplifier Program. Since then, she has headlined festivals (Howard Theater, Studio Paris Chicago, SXSW, Lollapalooza) and gained widespread acclaim for her ability to encourage honesty and communication with her sultry ballads.Born and raised in the DMV, CRAMER’s heart has never left home. She is creating a name for herself on her own terms, and thusly becoming a familiar name in the DMV music scene.
DMV artist Stephn kick-started his music career in 2018, working on his first project “Time Before Us”. Released first as a visual project paired with an EP, he managed to weave together fashion, creative direction, and music to create pure forms of self-expression. His energy did not go unnoticed. After quickly selling out his EP release party, he then performed at AMFest Music Festival and a Smithsonian Institute. Stephn doesn’t shy away from getting to the root of emotional vulnerability when creating his art. Through this honest approach, he’s able to create a genuine connection with his audience.
