Songbyrd and LiveNation Present

Sunday June 2, 2019

Coming up out of Atlanta, ThouxanBanFauni, is hustling hard to be a rap legend. As part of the new generation of extremely online rappers, it’s almost a requirement to post all of your material on free streaming services like Soundcloud in order to generate any kind of attention. Fauni’s has undertaken that spectacularly, accumulating almost 100 thousand followers on the platform. As a close collaborator with fellow Atlanta Soundcloud stars Playboi Carti and UnoTheActivist, Fauni derives a bit of his voice from them. However, his production is less pristine than someone like Carti’s and his lyrics and his lyrics are sharp, making him stand out from the competition.

MK Zulu

Jared "MK Zulu" Bailey is a lyricist/trumpeter hailing from PG County, Maryland. Graduating from Howard in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Music Business, he later received his Master's in Jazz Performance from Rutgers University. Since then, he has performed and taught in the DMV area through a variety of different outlets. Aside from performing with DC's very own DuPont Brass, MK Zulu is an artist in his own right, using his various musical skills to break down the genre walls built by the music industry. MK Zulu has had the opportunity to perform at some of the city's most prominent venues and events, including The Atlas Performing Arts Center, The Howard Theatre, and The H Street Festival. His latest project "The R.A.N.T.S. Experiment" was released at the top of Spring 2019 and is available on all major streaming services.
