Sophie Auster Music is an award winning singer and songwriter, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She has toured all over the world and has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Les InRocks, Spin, Glamour, Paris Match, Rolling Stone, Velvet, Paper, Nylon, Porter, and was spotlighted as one of W Magazine's rising young stars. Auster's last album has been praised by The New York Times for its "sultry, folksy vocals" and W Magazine calls it "soaring." John Osburn of the acclaimed music blog, Obsburt raves: "Each song was a realization, and a high point. Her voice is relentlessly surprising, shimmering with folk, blues, concert rock, and cabaret." Her upcoming project "Next Time", will be released in March on BMG, so be on the look out for that!

Bird Streets

BIRD STREETS is the musical endeavor of New York songwriter John Brodeur. In need of a creative rebirth after years on the music-industry margins, Brodeur reached out to his friend, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Falkner (Beck, Jellyfish), to suggest a collaboration. The album yielded by this pairing is both fresh and familiar--a dynamic collection of introspective indie-rock and power-pop that draws liberally on the music of decades past without being bluntly nostalgic, Brodeur’s voice like an old friend you’re meeting for the first time. The Falkner-produced debut, simply titled Bird Streets, is available worldwide on Omnivore Recordings.

About You

About You is a movement rather than just a band. Our movement is a vehicle to bring people together through stories about the human condition. On top of the chance to nurture one’s soul, we want our music to transform people. To have transcended from just being a listener to you experiencing the music. When that happens in a group, everyone shares in the experience. That’s the magic of the collective unconscious. Everyone connects when the lyrics are vulnerable and void of ego. Everyone bonds when the music goes from their ears to deep inside their being. Whether on headphones, in a car or live on stage we aim for the music to hit people in head, heart and hips.
