Bridie Monds-Watson, better known by her stage name SOAK, is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter born in Derry in 1996. SOAK's music has been described as 'a vivid portrait of teenage deep-thinking' by The Guardian. SOAK returned with her first new material since the release of her 2015 debut LP ‘Before We Forgot How To Dream’ and now she’s announced a run of live dates for next year!
Bridie Monds-Watson will kick off the tour in Kendal at the beginning of May, finishing things up with a closing date at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
She’ll be playing some new tracks from an upcoming second album, which has already been previewed with new single ‘Everybody Loves You’. Speaking of the meaning behind the new track, Bridie explained it’s “a song about extreme denial. More specifically about my stubborn ability to convince myself I don’t want something that I do and blind my rational thought process - I suppose in this case, as a way of self-protection (and avoiding vulnerability).”
Claud is the solo project of Claud Mintz. After releasing their debut EP made out of their college dorm room under the name Toast with Terrible Records, Claud dropped out of Syracuse University to move forward with their music career. Since then they’ve toured and played with the likes of The Maria’s, Clairo, Triathalon, and more. After being sued by Wonder Bread and making the name change - Claud is now working with various collaborators and will be sharing new music - a new chapter following the project formerly known as Toast.
