Friday January 25, 2019

Black Ranger is an emerging artist based out of Glenarden, Maryland. This artist, engineer, and producer created his own sound studying after legends such as Kanye West, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, etc. Having just released an EP entitled “LUUV SELF” , Black Ranger is looking to be the topic of discussion going into 2019.

JahLike is a talented artist based in The DMV. He pulls from his diverse music interests such as Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Rick James, and more to create a unique and melodic sound. He is preparing for the release of his next single, Universal, a Rap infused Rock anthem that reassures everyone to continue to follow their path. He is excited for what the Universe has in store for him.

The Experience is a rapper, singer, songwriter who hails from the DMV. His love for music first began it two contrasting places: the church and the GoGo’s. Growing up, he was part of the youth usher ministry that his grandmother led and he ultimately joined the choir, which immersed him in music three times a week. Additionally, he would spend evenings watching his father (a very well-respected DC musician in the GoGo community) play percussion and jamming out to music that’s known for its blend of funk, blues and soul. Because of his eclectic upbringing, The Experience now creates music that combines the bounce that GoGo is so well-known for with the soulful and spiritual sounds of Gospel music. As a result, he has created a genre of music he likes to call “Future Funk”. This iconic sound can be found on his forthcoming project, All For You, which he has entirely dedicated to the 70s and with it, he hopes to bring good vibes and honesty to his music.

Nicolayus Ali is an artist and songwriter native to the DMV area, hailing from Alexandria, VA. He strives to blend the Hip-Hop, Pop and R&B genres, however, he undoubtedly commands his own sound; seamlessly blending catchy songwriting over memorizing production.Nicolayus credits artists such as Sade and Phil Collins to Kendrick Lamar and Beach House as influences to his music, amongst many others. Nicolayus Ali recently debuted a 6-track EP entitled "I Love Loosies". He currently resides in Washington, DC
