The California-based duo met while attending university, and came together as a creative force 3 years later. The two wrote, recorded and produced their debut album “Sotto Voce” over the span of a month and 380 miles. The result was an emotionally impactful, sonically soft collection of songs, with intricate airy guitar work complemented by gentle vocals and present drums. With vivid imagery at the forefront of vocal waves, the Slenderbodies paints portraits of siren songs, sultry nights with foreign lovers, lost romance, and home.

After almost a year, Slenderbodies presented their second release, Fabulist on Majestic Casual Records.. Embark on a journey away from home, whisked out to sea, floating across the ocean of the mind.

They return at the top of 2018 with Fabulist Extended, a collection of short stories stretching beyond the main plot behind Fabulist. Independently released on all platforms, they welcome you to dive into pink hues, lush gold, lucid dreams and the quavering sound of the wind.

The “psychedelically inclined indie duo who sip from a similar mystic musical spring as MGMT, Glass Animals, and alt-J” (Santa Barbara Independent) sing, write, produce, and mix their own tracks. In the last eight months, the band has toured with Mura Masa, Passion Pit, and PVRIS. Meanwhile, their debut single “Anemone” has racked up over 15 million collective streams.

Their world tour name stems from the “infectious” (City Soundcheck) fresh single “Take You Home” from their forthcoming EP SORAYA, meaning ‘jewel.’ SORAYA is due out this fall through the Los Angeles indie label Avant Garden, which is also home to Emotional Oranges.

“A dynamic pairing, their production skills are aligned to a stunning melodic sense, entirely concise and wonderfully infectious.”
- ROBIN MURRAY, CLASH

“Adept pop producers, [slenderbodies] bring that infectious energy.”
- ZOE ELAINE, GRIMY GOODS

“[slenderbodies] translates well from a chilled out listening session to the live venue.”
- RYAN MIDDLETON, MAGNETIC
