- Latin Grammy Nominee –

Manuel, Hector, Paulina and Alejandro are originally from Cd. Juárez, Mx and El Paso, TX. Their record material "Once Once" shows the clash of cultures generated in the border region, with the sounds of all genres mixed in perfect harmony, which generates an atmosphere full of sensations for the audience.

For The Chamanas, it's a priority to highlight the uniqueness a border town has to offer, heal from past stereotypes and positively influence young generations.

The public’s acceptance of The Chamanas has been reflected in their recognitions. For example, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences nominated them for Best New Artist of 2016 and they were also rated Best Pop Album of the Year by IMAS Mexico.

The success of the band had led them to be invited to prestigious international festivals such as: ALMAX (Colombia), Vive Latino (Mexico), SXSW (Austin, USA), LAMC (NY, USA), and ACL Sessions (Austin, USA). They've also presented their border music in cities like Bogota, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin, Dallas, Marfa, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, Guadalajara, Mexico, Tijuana, Puebla, among others.

It's worth mentioning that despite their short career they've collaborated with renowned artists such as: Portugal The Man, Beach House, Jim Ward, Odesza, Los Angeles Negros, Enjambre, just to name a few.

The Chamanas has been cataloged by Spotify as artist of the month and they lead several of its top alternative charts. iTunes has placed The Chamanas in its top digital sales for several months.
