"After 5 Music" Listening Party, featuring his single "One Summer's Eve"

Dante’ Pope is a multi-genre drummer and vocalist and a native of Chicago, Illinois. He blends his gospel roots with a soulful swing that has been showcased all around the world. For several years, he supported Dom Flemons, founder and former member of the Grammy Award winning, Carolina Chocolate Drops. In this trio, Dante' expanded his musical palate and learned early-America rhythms and percussive instrumental styles such as the rhythm bones and spoons. As a trio, they performed with the likes of Grammy Award winning, Old Crow Medicine Show and performed for the grand opening of the newly opened Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.

Most recently, Dante’ toured with Kenny Wesley and the Soulful Nerd Band to Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, and Madagascar through the State Department's, American Music Abroad Program. While abroad, they performed and taught master classes on funk, gospel and music from the African diaspora. Currently, Dante' plays for Grammy-nominated, soul sensation Raheem Devaughn and Wes Felton, better known as The CrossRhodes Project.
