Medhane and Slauson Malone, now Medslaus, put out experimental art rap. They’re joking when they say the genre is #YEET (yes, like the Vine meme from a few years ago), but they offer no other classification. And they like tangible things, physical objects, so they also put out a zine-style lyric book and cassette tape with their last release, Greys in Yellow, named after a Rothko painting.
Apart from riding his bike or cooking a good vegan meal, you will most likely find Greenss listening to records searching for samples. Greenss is a
music producer/audio engineer from Fairfield, CT who has a very distinct ear for crafting beats. Influenced by artists such as Knxwledge, Kanye
West, Laraaji, and Ohbliv, Greenss is currently putting his own spin on instrumental Hip-Hop. Since joining the school band as a percussionist
in the 6th grade, Greenss added beat-making to his repertoire when he was 18. Now 20, he has since been diligently working on music releasing his
first project in August known as “The Shampoo EP,” with many more releases lined up for the near future. Aside from his work with Howard University’s
own radio station, WHBC 96.3 HD3, Greenss is very active around the D.C. community as well the east coast. Whether it be playing shows, assisting
in the sound production of a concert, or even visiting grade schools to show students how to make beats, Greenss’ passion for music runs deep
