Wes Swing is a singer, cellist, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Virginia. Swing’s style of composition draws on classical, electronic and alternative rock influences to create a rich and lilting soundscape of beautifully swelling dream-pop. Swing's cello-looping is accompanied by Yessirov, the electronic sound-design project of Jeff Gregerson, who lends synths, beats and processing to the textured layers of Swing's cello and voice. Together Wes Swing with Yessirov create deeply enveloping string sections to which Swing demonstrates his vocal prowess with delicate intonation, delivering lyrics imbued with poetry.

Juliana Daugherty wields her songcraft like a sword, not a diary to be buried in a drawer. Daugherty grew up playing multiple instruments, even attending a conservatory before stepping away from classical music entirely. She went on to acquire an MFA in poetry-- a fact not lost on her debut full-length Light. NPR writes Light is "not an attempt at coining a new, fake genre, but a functional image. Daugherty sings quiet and contemplative poetry with gentle, but aching lilt." Stereogum describes Light as"a collection of stark, intimate folk-rock tunes that accompany Daugherty’s lyrics with only a few carefully selected flourishes. The results are magnificent, as fervent but understated electric chords carry along Daugherty’s haunting narration. There is no shortage of artists making music of this ilk today, but few are doing it so captivatingly.”
